i have just entered the u.k on a settlement visa and wish to start education or work. what do i do next?

Salaam Alaikum, i have just seen your question so apologies for the very late response. You should apply for a National Insurance (NI) number from the job centre, it will take between 6 weeks and 3 months to complete, but you can not work without an NI number. If you would like to study, there are very few courses that are free ( many courses are quite expensive and you will not qualify for discount rate) so studying can be difficult if you do not have financial resources. Please do not be put off, persevere and you will achieve your goals.
