Dear Kombo Sillah Members
RACIALLY MOTIVATED ATTACKS ON OUR AFRICAN COMMUNITIES IN England
We are receiving increasing reports of individuals and families in our African communities that are experiencing racially motivated abuse and their properties vandalised, following England's defeat by Italy at the Euros football final last Sunday.
On behalf of the Trustees of the KSA, I strongly condemn all acts of racial abuse and violence against our communities.
We as African communities in the UK stand shoulder to shoulder with our African brothers that are playing for the England team that are now facing unacceptable racial abuse and backlash on social media because of the colour of their skin.
We call on all individuals and families across all of our African communities to be vigilant and report any racial abuse or attack on their property to the police as well as their community leaders.
We must stand together in the face of this abhorrent and unacceptable racism.
PLEASE SHARE THIS MESSAGE ACROSS ALL OUR AFRICAN COMMUNITIES. WE DON’T WANT ANYONE TO FEEL ISOLATED.
Best wishes,
Ebrima Scattred Janneh,
Chairman on behalf of the Trustees of KSA
